Like you, I am also 72. I lost Margaret, my wife of 52 years and companion of 54 years two months ago to Dementia. I envy you and your husband. Hug him and cherish him for those of us who can no longer do so with their spouses. Every remaining second is precious.
Also, do not let Adult Protective Services near him or you or any other elderly people you know. We were abused and kept apart the last 3 years of her life for no good reason other than graft, corruption and sadism by social workers and the Colorado judicial system. No one should have to go through what we did and now she is gone and I miss her terribly.
